The Information Technology (IT) Program is a two year program at Kent Career Technical Center (KCTC). All students who elect to attend the IT program begin as a first year student and study basic computer components including hardware, software, networking and an introduction to computer programming.  In the second year, students may elect to study Cisco Networking or Computer Programming. Students who complete either one or two years in IT can prepare themselves for careers in PC support, networking, programming and systems management.

  • Learn basic computer programming concepts from working with variables, conditionals and looping to Object Oriented Programming using C#
  • Learn to code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and ASP.Net while creating professional and interactive web sites
  • Study for and take the Microsoft Technology Associate Certification Exam in Software Development Fundamentals
